Modcloth Wishlist

Hello Lovelys,

If you live in the U.S then I'm officially jealous! Today's post is going to be a wishlist / small review about Modcloth.

Modcloth is an online brand that specialises in mass-produced vintage or vintage pieces. I came across this brand whilst searching for longer length dresses, so if you have read my previous post The Fashion Problems Of A Tall Girls I would recommend looking for dresses on here.

The website provides an online customer care service where the email and phone information is as well as a chat / ask a Modcloth stylist section. This is a brilliant service they provide, I have always used it to ask for the specific dimensions on a sized garment and asked if they think the size I would order would be ok as some items run smaller or bigger in places. I have seen this service open 24 hours before and when I have emailed in, they reply within 24 hours.
I have never been able to get such an amazing level of customer service from anywhere else before, they certainly go above and beyond!

Another thing I absolutely love is the customer reviews section. There is an optional section to show what your size is and what size you brought the garment in, as well as what you think of it on a whole. There is a rating on Fit, Length and Quality and although you can see the overall rating, you can see everyone's specific rating too. This has helped me before with being taller and its such a true reflection as people can add pictures of themselves in the garment.
It's like a community and it's something I think other brands should provide too!

Recently I've been loving some pieces on the website and compiled a wishlist!

Author Outing Dress In Green

A dress like this is perfect for the upcoming summer barbecue!
It's the outfit that stands out without being too overdressed.

The crochet detailing on the neckline and skirt adds to the shape of the garment giving an hourglass figure, but without too much emphasis on a cinched waistline. I think this would look perfect with a pair of t-bar heels/flats. Comes in a lovely Goldenrod and Rogue colour!

Storytelling Showstopper Dress

I love a cowl neck dress. I have so many already in my wardrobe but I really love the detailing on this one. If you have just finished school/university then this would be a perfect interview outfit. It's got lovely ruched panel down the middle which emphasises your figure without showing too much skin. This would be perfect with black tights and boots so it is smart/casual with no need to accessorize. Meaning you won't have bracelets or necklaces to fiddle with whilst being interviewed. Other than that it'd be perfect for a summer date!

Read It & Steep Romper

Now this outfit I wouldn't recommend for taller girls but I do really love this and hope that something like this would be available in a longer length soon. This romper would be perfect for those hotter days whether your out shopping with friends or having a picnic with the family, it'll keep you feeling cool and on trend. Floral print is big for spring and summer every year but I really love the tones of colour used in this print. It is unusual to see that type of orange in a print that doesn't have a white background. This has a button up style with shirring at the waist and subtle drape style pockets, it's an all in one summer casual look.

By The Pond Top

If your a jeans a t-shirt type of person then I would go for something like this. It is a gorgeous print with small lace detailing on the sleeves. What I love the most about this is the cut, it has loose fit under the arms without the appearance. Some t-shirts I try on bunch up under the arms in the heat but when looking at pictures of this, you can see more length underneath than in comparison to other tops. This would just be a lovely statement piece with jeans and converse.

Medium Format Memory Tunic In Southwestern

I love a good zig-zag/Aztec style print and seeing this I thought it'd be a fairly similar benefit to a summer wardrobe like the By The Pond Top. This loose fitting top is perfect for people that are more jeans and t-shirt but with a girly flare. Its V neck and comes with a matching printed tie belt so you keep it loose and put the emphasis on your bust or tighter to cinch in the waist. I think this has a lovely flowing quality to it, nice to wear for a meal out with the girls.

Essential Elegance Skirt In Black

When I saw this skirt, I instantly fell in love, so much so that I ended up ordering it! This skirt has a lovely double tired drape that sits on the knee line perfectly. I think this is an amazing statement piece for the summer, it's very Audrey Hepburn and I am really really excited! Can't wait for it to arrive!

That is pretty much a small chunk of a huge list of items I really liked, if you haven't heard of Modcloth before I would really recommend it. If your not a vintage fashion person they also have an apartment section with wall decor, furnishings, bedding...etc.

Thanks for reading!
